Wedding Favors

Wedding favors were one thing that I struggled with. It would be nice to send everyone away with a little trinket, but I didn't want it to be cheap and meaningless. They can also add up, monetarily, very quickly. Again, after changing my mind a few times, we made a decision.

At first we were going to donate money to the ASPCA in honor of all of our guests. They provide little cards that you place at each setting to let your guests know. Nice idea, but we decided to make it a little more personal. Instead of donating to the ASPCA, we are going to donate money to the two organizations where we adopted our little bundles of joy, Piper and Dewey!!!



We adopted Piper from Colorado Puppy Rescue on September 8, 2007 and we adopted Dewey from Retriever Rescue of Colorado on February 3, 2008. They are both great organizations and we are forever grateful because they brought us together with our babies. We are going to donate money to both organizations in honor of our wedding guests. I am also going to make some bookmarks to leave at every place setting to let our guests know. Once my teaching semester is over I am also planning on volunteering at Retriever Rescue of Colorado. They have a variety of volunteer positions and a few you can even do from home, which is great since they are based outside of Denver.
